Why Aqua Marine Supply Switches Are the Smarter Choice for Your Lift

Built for the Waterfront

  • Rugged, marine-grade construction with aqua seal technology helping to prevent water from entering your switch unlike non-marine grade switches.
  • The only switch with stainless steel contractors helping to minimize corrosion and switch replacement.

Reliable Performance

  • Delivers smooth, consistent operation you can count on every time you raise or lower your lift.
  • Offering the option to have maintained or spring return, suiting your preference of operation.

Simple, Compatible, Ready to Install

  • Easy to wire and works seamlessly with most standard boat lift motors, including standard 3/4 HP to 1.5 HP.

Not Sure Which Type You Need?

Spring Return Switch (Momentary):

  • Maximum Control, Maximum Safety – Only runs when you hold it, eliminating accidental overrun.
  • Stay in Charge – Perfect for those who want hands-on, real-time lift control.
  • Protects Your Investment – Automatically shuts off to prevent motor burnout or lift damage.
  • Ideal for Busy Docks – Prevents others from walking away with the lift still running.

Maintained Switch (Locking):

  • Set It and Walk Away – Flip the switch and focus on other tasks while your lift runs.
  • Built for Convenience – Save time with automatic, uninterrupted lift cycles.
  • Precision with Ease – Consistently return your boat to the perfect height, every time.
  • Tough in All Conditions – Marine-grade quality that stands up to water, sun, and wear.

GOOD SWITCH

Does not come with a wiring diagram. But it's simple enough to figure out. If replacing just make note (or pic) of how the one your replacing is wired. Also does not come with GCFI

Wiring for A O SMITH MOTOR ON BOAT LIFT

This switch ordered for replacement on boat lift. Wired as instructed. Motor would run in up position but not in down position. Rechecked my wiring at switch, all good. Scratched head and searched to see if switch was compatible with motor. Found this picture of this motor wired to this type of switch. Rewired motor as shown,, all good. The old switch’s name started with a B.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the AMS boat lift switch waterproof?

Yes, the AMS switch is designed to be weatherproof and resistant to water exposure, making it suitable for outdoor marine environments. However, prolonged submersion should still be avoided.

Is there a wiring diagram for this boat lift switch?

Yes, we’ll include a wiring diagram on this page for easy access. Simply revisit the page, and you’ll find clear images of the wiring setup available.

What is the power source for the AMS boat lift switch?

The AMS switch typically requires a standard 110V or 220V power source, depending on the model of your boat lift. Some models may be adaptable to 12V DC systems for battery-powered setups.

Will the AMS switch work as a replacement to a different brand switch?

Yes, we recommend the AMS as a replacement switch due to the quality build, hopefully minimizing future replacements with its weather sealed box and stainless steel terminals.
